Now it happens again! The most pleasant wine mingle of the summer. In a bay very close to you. Shedule the last saturday of August right now. You'll be busy between 11 AM and 5 PM, and probably the rest of the evening too. Bring a couple of lovely friends, let thoose you meet on the way join. Arm yourself with proper shoes, a hat for the sun and your very best mood for a late summers day that you will stay with you all the way to spring equinox. At least.
A journey of flavours
FROM APELVIKEN, HALFWAY AROUND THE GLOBE
Seven restaurants in the same bay. From Varbergs Kusthotell in the north, to &Olles in the south. Just a few hundred metres in between. Start with Argentina, and wrap things up 'over there'. Squeeze 'down under' in between Rio Negro and a Riesling. Or something completely different. Just as you like it, entirely as you please, kind of like you are. Wherever the mood takes you. Like Apelviken.
This year, Monique takes on France while &Olles delves into Italy and Solviken explores Serbia. Varberg's Coast Hotel makes its way across the Atlantic to the USA, John's Place returns to South Africa, Nisse's Bodega gets a grip on Austria, and Britta's Beach Veranda charts Spain.
How it works
GOOD TO KNOW
Every restaurant serves a sampler of four different wines from the same country. A 4cl sample is one coupon, X SEK, for some two coupons. 10-coupon booklets are X SEK. Special glasses provided. X SEK or one coupon. Bring your glass between the restaurants – and take it home at the end of the day. If you have been here before, you will of course bring your glass from last year – to come well prepared. In the festival programme, which you will find where you buy the festival’s coupon booklets, all wines are presented with name, description, region, grape(s), alcohol content and Systembolaget item number, where applicable.
