Midsummer. Just taste the word... is there anything better? Midsummer. The middle of summer - strawberries, food, pure bliss, the games and the magical midsummer night! With seven flowers under your pillow. When you bath at midnight, in a moment you wish would never end. At Destination Apelviken, we celebrate midsummer the traditional way. Classic Swedish midsummer, with no shortcuts. And the pickled herring? - You bet! As early as breakfast.

Here's everything that's happening with us over the Midsummer weekend. A solid, traditional Midsummer programme is in place. Nothing less than what is required.

THURSDAY 19 JUNE
16.30-18.30 Bouncy castle + Face painting | Activity Centre
The Midsummer weekend kicks off with tons of fun and games! Bounce around in our bouncy castle. Get yourself an awesome face painting or unleash your creativity at the activity center.

19:00 - Movie Night in the Activity Centre | Activity Centre
Cozy movie night for the whole family. Sit back and relax.

20:00 - 22:30 Pre Midsummer Party with Dj Noel Josander | Solviken
We’re kicking off the Midsummer celebrations early with a mood-lifter you won’t want to miss! Pre Midsummer Party at Solviken! The night before Midsummer Eve, we’re inviting you to a chill bar hangout, summery drinks, and awesome music with DJ Noel Josander. Bring your friends, feel the summer vibes, and get pumped for Midsummer in the best way possible!

23:00 - Midsummer Dip with Dj Noel Josander | Beach
In the late hours, when the party is at its peak, DJ Noel Josander moves down to the beach, turning the night into a magical Midsummer memory. The sea awaits—dare you take the plunge and dive into a atmospheric midnight swim under the open sky? A traditional end to the evening that you won’t soon forget!
MIDSUMMER AFTERNOON
10:00 - 13:00: Midsummer Café | Football pitch
In the midst of the festivities, we’re opening the Midsummer café: freshly brewed coffee, delicious pastries, and a wonderful Midsummer vibe. Sit down, enjoy a coffee break on the grass, and take the chance to weave a flower crown.

10:00 Wreath making | Football pitch
A real Midsummer calls for a real flower crown! Come and make your own flower crown from summer blooms and join other cheerful celebrants in decorating our Midsummer pole together. Twigs are provided on-site, but you pick and bring your own flowers—it’s all part of the game :)

Together, we raise the Midsummer pole! A classic.

14:00 Dancing around the pole | Football pitch
Now it’s a real Midsummer celebration! Our troubadour guides us through classic summer songs and playful dance steps around the Midsummer pole. Bring your family, friends, and your best Midsummer spirit—there’ll be laughter, song, and dance for all ages!

15:00 Midsummer match - Sign up at the reception | Football pitch
Challenge your family, friends, or neighbors in our classic Midsummer Games—a fast-paced pentathlon with tricky and fun challenges for all ages. Teamwork, laughter, and giving it your all are key to claiming the glory and the title of Apelviken’s Midsummer Champion 2025! Register your team at the reception—spaces are limited!

Are you ready for an adventure? Follow clues, solve mysteries, and hunt for the treasure waiting around every corner.

13:00 Pool Party | Pool
Put on your swimwear and get into the summer spirit—it’s time for the year’s first pool party! With music, games, and tons of awesome summer vibes, this is the moment you don’t want to miss. The ice cream kiosk is open!

Start your Sunday in the best way! Join Alva outdoors and let your body and mind fill with calm and energy during a peaceful yoga session. Breathe in the fresh morning air, feel the sun’s warmth, and give yourself an invigorating start to the day! We have a few yoga mats to lend out, but feel free to bring your own.

Our summer challenge? To become awesome circus artists! But how do you even do that? Together with our activity leaders, we’ll embark on an exciting journey into the world of the circus. Learn magical tricks, thrilling balance activities, and fun challenges for the whole family. Put on your circus hat and come test your talents—or just enjoy watching our activity leaders attempt circus tricks… and maybe fail a little along the way!
