Midsummer. Just taste the word... is there anything better? Midsummer. The middle of summer - strawberries, food, pure bliss, the games and the magical midsummer night! With seven flowers under your pillow. When you bath at midnight, in a moment you wish would never end. At Destination Apelviken, we celebrate midsummer the traditional way. Classic Swedish midsummer, with no shortcuts. And the pickled herring? - You bet! As early as breakfast.

Here's everything that's happening with us over the Midsummer weekend. A solid, traditional Midsummer programme is in place. Nothing less than what is required.

THURSDAY 18 JUNE
14.00 -18.00 Bouncy castle & kids club | Activity Centre
We kick off the Midsummer weekend with lots of play and fun!
Bounce around in our bouncy castle and get creative together with our activity leaders in the Activity Center.

19:00 Kids’ Movie Night: "Sune – Uppdrag: Midsommar" | Activity Centre
The projector is on and the popcorn is popping! When Sune is about to celebrate Midsummer,
everything turns extra silly. Nothing goes as planned and Sune gets a super important
mission – to save Midsummer! A fun and cosy movie for the whole family.

From 18:30 Springtime | Nisses Bodega
We start the Midsummer celebrations early with a vibe booster you don’t want to miss!
Nisses Bodega invites you to after-work drinks, great food and live music by Springtime.
Bring your friends, feel the summer vibes and get in the Midsummer mood!

23:00 The Midsummer Midnight Dip | The Beach
Late in the evening, we welcome you down to the beach to turn the night into a magical Midsummer memory.
The sea awaits – do you dare to take a refreshing dip under the open sky?
A traditional and unforgettable way to end the night.
MIDSUMMER AFTERNOON 19 JUNE
10:00 Flower Crown Making | Football pitch
A real Midsummer calls for a real flower crown! Come and make your own crown
using summer flowers and help decorate our Midsummer pole together with fellow celebrators.
Greenery is provided – flowers are picked and brought by yourself. That’s part of the tradition :)

10:00 - 13:00 Midsummer Café | Football pitch
In the middle of the festivities, our Midsummer café opens with freshly brewed
coffee, delicious pastries and a wonderful Midsummer atmosphere. Sit down,
enjoy a fika on the grass and take the opportunity to make a flower crown.

10:00 - 13:00 Lucky Dip (Fishing Game) | Football pitch
What is Midsummer without a lucky dip? Kids can try their luck and
see what they catch - maybe a bag of sweets, maybe Grandpa’s old boot.
We’re hoping for good fishing luck!

13:30 Pole Raising | Football pitch
Together, we raise the Midsummer pole! A classic.

14:00 Dancing around the pole | Football pitch
Now it’s a real Midsummer celebration! Our troubadour guides us through classic summer songs and playful dance steps around the Midsummer pole. Bring your family, friends, and your best Midsummer spirit - there’ll be laughter, song, and dance for all ages!

15:00 Midsummer match - Sign up at the reception | Football pitch
Challenge your family, friends, or neighbors in our classic Midsummer Games - a fast-paced pentathlon with tricky
and fun challenges for all ages. Teamwork, laughter, and giving it your all are key to claiming the glory and the
title of Apelviken’s Midsummer Champion 2026! Register your team at the reception, registration closes at 13:00
or when all spots are filled – first come, first served.
MIDSUMMER DAY 20 JUNE
10:00 Crab Fishing | Starts at the Activity Center
Crab fishing is a must on the Swedish west coast!
With buckets and crab lines, we head down to the rocks to meet our little friends in the crab bay.
We turn the buckets into small aquariums and let the crabs visit us for a while.

12:00 - 15:00 Bouncy Castle & Kids Club | Activity Center
Bounce around in our bouncy castle and get creative together with our activity leaders in the Activity Center.

16:00 Treasure Hunt | Starts at the Activity Center
Ahoy landlubbers! Sharpen your swords and put on your pirate hats – it’s time for a treasure hunt!

18:00 - 19:00 Mini Disco | Activity Centre
Put on your glitter trousers – it’s mini disco time!
We invite all kids to an evening full of dancing, games and music in our festively decorated Activity Center.
Show off your best moves, enjoy some popcorn and soak up the disco vibes!
SUNDAY 21 JUNE
09:30 Little Surf School | Surf Center
Our youngest guests get to experience the waves of the west coast together with our instructors.
The perfect opportunity to get to know the sea, the board and the joy of surfing!
Mother Nature decides the adventure of the day: surfing, SUP, skimboard or bodyboard.
Whatever the conditions, a playful and fun surf session awaits.
Psst! Swimming ability is required.

12:00 - 15:00 Kids Club | Activity Center
With us, every day is a new adventure. Our activity leaders create a daily programme in the Activity Center,
filled with creative crafts and fun surprises. Sometimes we even head out on small adventures together
- because here, nothing is impossible. When the activity leaders are out exploring, the Activity Center
remains open for all children who want to play, discover or just relax. Warm welcome!

16:00 Pool Party | Pool Area
Splash, laughter and summer vibes! During our pool party, the pool area transforms into a bubbling celebration.
We turn up the music, start fun games in and around the pool and invite everyone to dance. Woohoo!
