FOOTPRINT

We all leave footprints. Traces. Those of the people who came before us, our own, and those of the people who will come after.
We strive to make them as small as possible. To leave the remarkable place we have been entrusted to manage, care for, nurture and protect, well preserved for future generations. So that one day they may have the opportunity to leave their own footprints.

 

For us, careful and conscious choices are a given. You are welcome to take part in them.

3. GOOD HEALTH AND WELL-BEING

​

Through our collaboration with Actic, we offer training on land and in water.

The training and activities create space for balance, energy, and well-being in everyday life.

6. CLEAN WATER AND SANITATION FOR ALL

​

Taps have been installed to help us all reduce water consumption. Together, we ensure that no more resources are used than necessary.

7. AFFORDABLE AND CLEAN ENERGY

​

Charge your car at one of our charging stations while you recharge on a sun lounger. We use district heating to heat our pool, apartments, and service buildings.

8. DECENT WORK AND ECONOMIC GROWTH

​

We offer fair working conditions with collective agreements and a safe working environment. Each year, we employ around 130 seasonal workers, many of whom get their first job with us. In this way, we create employment and give young people an important start to working life under fair conditions.

10. REDUCED INEQUALITIES

​

Destination Apelviken offers accommodation in different price ranges, giving more people the opportunity to take a holiday. We welcome individuals in need of work training, creating a pathway into working life. In this way, we work towards greater inclusion and reduced inequality in society.

13. CLIMATE ACTION

​

Our restaurants offer vegetarian dishes – a food choice that is both delicious and better for the environment.

14. LIFE BELOW WATER

​

We organize beach clean-up days where children and their families participate to keep the beaches clean. Through this we create engagement for the ocean and marine ecosystems, while teaching the next generation the importance of taking care of our environment.

15. LIFE ON LAND AND BIODIVERSITY

​

We compost waste from our restaurants and shop. This is an excellent way to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and a cost-effective way to improve soil quality.
