Now it happens again! The most pleasant wine mingle of the summer. In a bay very close to you. Shedule the last saturday of August right now. You'll be busy between 11 AM and 5 PM, and probably the rest of the evening too. Bring a couple of lovely friends, let thoose you meet on the way join. Arm yourself with proper shoes, a hat for the sun and your very best mood for a late summers day that you will stay with you all the way to spring equinox. At least.
A journey of flavours
FROM APELVIKEN, HALFWAY AROUND THE GLOBE
Seven venues in the same bay. From Varbergs Kusthotell in the north to &Olles in the south. Just a few hundred metres apart. Start 'over there'. Squeeze Swartland between Bierzo and a Riesling. Or something else entirely. Take what you want, exactly as you feel, a little like you are. As the spirit moves you. Like Apelviken.

Now we've finished tasting, worked our way through regions, soil types and bottlings, and landed. &Olles returns to Italy, Johns Place to South Africa, Nisses Bodega takes on Australia and Strandkollektivet sets its sights on Portugal, while Kusthotellet gets a double nelson on French grapes. Brittas Strandveranda finds new flavours in Spain and Solviken presents a wine country you may never have come across before: North Macedonia.
How it works
GOOD TO KNOW
Every restaurant serves a sampler of four different wines from the same country. A 4cl sample is one coupon, 30 SEK, for some two coupons. 10-coupon booklets are 300 SEK. Special glasses provided. 30 SEK or one coupon. Bring your glass between the restaurants – and take it home at the end of the day. If you have been here before, you will of course bring your glass from last year – to come well prepared. In the festival programme, which you will find where you buy the festival’s coupon booklets, all wines are presented with name, description, region, grape(s), alcohol content and Systembolaget item number, where applicable.
