The year's big summer party is back! On National Day, June 6th, it's once again a celebration worthy of the name. Usually some fifteen to twenty thousand Varberg locals and visitors fill the bay — surfing, bouncing in bouncy castles, eating, and listening to live music. Wrestling and a handball tournament are held right on the beach.

Vännerna i Viken are a collaboration between &Olles, Johns Place, Varbergs Kusthotell, Apelvikstrand, Surfers Center Apelviken, Strandkollektivet, Brittas Strandveranda, Peder Skrivares School - Windsurfing Education, and Destination Apelviken.

Medina 2 PM
Medina fills the bay with great sounds and easy vibes. With hundreds of millions of streams behind them, they competed in Melodifestivalen 2026 with "Viva L'Amor".
