SEPTEMBER 28 - OCTOBER 4 2026
Did you know that Norway has its autumn break earlier than we do? Oh yes. Already in early October, most Norwegian schoolchildren check out for a week of rest. We thought that was a bit unfair – so we created a new tradition: Høstkos in Apelviken. For our good neighbours to the west enjoying høstferie, and for everyone else who, in the name of fairness, also plans to take a day or two off. So there.
For you, we've put together a package filled with the joy of discovery, cosiness and play!

You can hardly have too many holidays. Right?! Now you've got one more to look forward to. One filled with the sea, peace and quiet, lively fun and some of Varberg's most popular attractions.
All packaged and ready.
Here's what's included:
-
Accommodation, camping or hotel
-
Pingvinen, the adventure pool
-
Grimeton, the World Heritage Site
-
Varberg Fortress and the museum

The Fortress
THRILL
Construction of Varberg Fortress began in the 13th century. And no Varberg visitor since then has missed it. That's simply not possible? And who isn't drawn to a well-preserved bog body from the 14th century and a myth-shrouded button that's said to have done away with Charles XII?
Entry to the Fortress and the Halland Museum of Cultural History is included in Høstkos!
