Once, a long time ago, Apelviken was just a bay on the shores of the Kattegat. When the railway was built here, just over a century ago, the summer visitors arrived. Then, people started bringing tents...

The rest is history as they say. From people spontaneously putting up their tents, to the best camping site in Varberg. With a swimming pool, loads of activities, two restaurants and a hotel. To mention a few things. Open all year round – for the kind of well-being you take with you, long after your holiday is over.

APELVIKEN

CAMPING AND HOTEL
IN VARBERG

And yet, just a kilometre and a half from central Varberg. Leave your camper van and ride your bike, or simply walk to the square and the harbour. Here, you will find some of the best sandy beaches in Sweden, along with captivating small-town charm. Gekås – or Ullared, as it is commonly known – is just half an hour away. If you don’t want to stray far, there are another six restaurants in the bay, as well as two windsurfing centres and friendly street life that can’t be beat.

Solviken & Nisse's Bodega

FOOD AND MORE

One with a marvellous view of the Kattegat. Stone baked pizza, À la Carte and a large open-air restaurant right on the beach. Another one by the pool. Opens with breakfast, shuts after a glas of rosé.

Two restaurants. Solviken is open all year round, while Nisse’s Bodega offers breakfast throughout the year, the best burgers in the bay - if you ask us and and offers the most laidback hangout in the bay, all day long all summer! For our camping guests, and for everyone else!

It will be a real Christmas at Solviken even this year! As it ought. As it should. The flavours, the tradition and the music.

EVEN MORE FUN AT APELVIKEN

More fun than what? Than most things, we’d like to think! Quite simply, we tend to look on the bright side of life. We truly believe that everyone benefits from laughing, playing and socialising – visitors both young and old!

We also believe that our guests feel the same way. Which is why we’ve put together a roster of activities that will be a match for anyone. In fact, we’ve filled the whole summer with fun, and then some more fun. From early morning to late night. Almost every day, from the 24th of June to the 11th of August.
